About Hilbert College

Hilbert College is a private, Catholic college in Hamburg, which is a town in Erie County, in the US state of New York, with more than 56 000 people, living within its limits, as estimated during the 2000 census.

The college was established in 1957 and was founded by (and named after) Mother Collette Hilbert of the Franciscan Sisters of Saint Joseph, with the original mission to train teachers. It currently offers its students 13 bachelor-level programs, in areas such as accounting, business administration, criminal justice, liberal studies and political science.

Athletics

Hilbert's athletic teams are known as the Hawks and they compete in NCAA Division III, for various men's and women's sports. The official school colors are blue and white.
